Hurghada, located along Egypt's Red Sea Coast, is a popular tourist destination thanks to its stunning coral reefs and azure waters that are ideal for windsurfing. Hurghada has had tremendous growth over the past ten years, and yes, at times it does feel overrun with tourists. It is conveniently located between the magnificent Giftun Islands and the Eastern Arabian Desert. You can also travel into the desert on a motorcycle or a beach buggy for an experience. Today, the resort of Hurghada is almost unrecognizable from its past life and has grown to become the most visited tourist destination in the whole of Egypt, with more than 100 different hotels, many of which line the shoreline.
